Regular Season Round 28: Anyang - Seoul Thunders 64-61

Tenth-ranked Seoul Thunders (11-27) were very close to win a game against first ranked Anyang (28-10) on Saturday. Anyang managed to secure only three-point victory 64-61. However their fans expected much easier game. Strangely Seoul Thunders outrebounded Anyang 47-26 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Anyang made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds. The former international guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-1996) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American forward Anthony Morse (206-1994, college: Tenn Tech, agency: SLN) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and the former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-1987) added 22 points in the effort for Seoul Thunders. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Anyang have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 28-10 record. Seoul Thunders at the other side stay dead last with 27 lost games. Anyang are looking forward to face Suwon KT (#6) in Busan in the next round where they are favorite. Seoul Thunders will have a break next round.
