Very expected game when 6th ranked KCC Egis (15-18) were smashed by second ranked LG Sakers (20-13) in Changwon 93-74 on Sunday. LG Sakers outrebounded KCC Egis 39-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) nailed 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Dante Cunningham (203-1987, college: Villanova) accounted for 14 points and 11 rebounds. Five LG Sakers players scored in double figures. American forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (201-1995, college: Arizona) came up with 19 points and the former international forward Guna Ra (203-1989, college: Missouri) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for KCC Egis in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. LG Sakers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 20-13 record having just two points less than leader Anyang. KCC Egis lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 18 games lost. LG Sakers will meet at home league's leader Anyang in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KCC Egis will play against Wonju DB (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
