Regular Season Round 11: Anyang - Seoul Knights 90-84
Date: November 27, 2022
No shocking result in a game when first ranked Anyang (13-3) beat at home 8th ranked Seoul Knights (7-10) 90-84 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Anyang looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Filipino Rhenz Abando (188-1998) accounted for 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Anyang's coach Seung-Ki Kim used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Sunh-Yung Kim (187-1988) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 assists and American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Seoul Knights in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Anyang have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-3 record. Defending champion Seoul Knights dropped to the sixth position with ten games lost. Anyang will meet bottom-ranked KoGas (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Seoul Knights will play against the league's second-placed LG Sakers (#2) in Changwon and hope to secure a win.
