Regular Season Round 9: Mobis Phoebus - KoGas 85-72

Everything went according to plan in Ulsan where third ranked Mobis Phoebus (8-4) beat bottom-ranked KoGas (3-9) 85-72 on Sunday. They outrebounded KoGas 43-28 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Mobis Phoebus especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Gaige Prim (203-1999, college: Missouri St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Woosuk Lee (196-1999) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) who recorded 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Five KoGas players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mobis Phoebus have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Goyang. Loser KoGas stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Mobis Phoebus will meet at home KCC Egis (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KoGas will play against Seoul Thunders and hope to secure a win.
