Regular Season Round 8: Anyang - Seoul Thunders 60-67

There was a surprise result when sixth ranked Seoul Thunders (7-6) beat on the road top-ranked Anyang (9-3) 67-60 on Thursday. The winners were led by American forward Emanuel Terry (206-1996, college: LMU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Marcus Derrickson (201-1996, college: Georgetown) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Even 8 points and 10 rebounds by American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) did not help to save the game for Anyang. The former international guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-1996) added 13 points for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Seoul Thunders have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Anyang still keeps top position with three games lost. Seoul Thunders will meet at home KCC Egis (#8) in the next round. Anyang will play against LG Sakers (#3) in Changwon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
