Regular Season Round 6: Anyang - KoGas 73-72

Eighth-ranked KoGas (2-6) gave a tough game to first ranked Anyang (8-1) on Saturday. Anyang managed to secure only one-point victory 73-72. However their fans expected much easier game. American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-1996) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Hyo-Geun Jeong (200-1993) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four KoGas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Anyang have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-1 record. KoGas at the other side dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. They share the position with Suwon KT. Anyang will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KoGas will play at home against LG Sakers (#4) and are hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
