Regular Season Round 5: Anyang - Suwon KT 70-68

Tenth-ranked Suwon KT (1-5) was very close to win a game against first ranked Anyang (6-1) on Sunday. Anyang managed to secure only two-point victory 70-68. However their fans expected much easier game. Strangely Suwon KT outrebounded Anyang 50-36 including a 21-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Park Jihoon (184-1995) contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international center Yoongi Ha (203-1999) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds and American swingman EJ Anosike (201-1998, college: CS Fullerton) added 16 points and 16 rebounds in the effort for Suwon KT. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Anyang maintains first place with 6-1 record. Suwon KT lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with five games lost. Anyang are looking forward to face KoGas (#8) in Inchon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Suwon KT will play at home against KCC Egis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
