Regular Season Round 4: Anyang - LG Sakers 83-79

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Anyang. First ranked Anyang faced 4th ranked LG Sakers. Host Anyang (5-1) defeated guests from Changwon (3-3) 83-79. Anyang made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 LG Sakers turnovers. LG Sakers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. The other American import power forward Darryl Monroe (202-1986, college: GMU) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) replied with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for LG Sakers. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Anyang maintains first position with 5-1 record. LG Sakers at the other side dropped to the fifth place with three games lost. Anyang will play against bottom-ranked Suwon KT (#10) in Busan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LG Sakers will play at home against Wonju DB (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
