Regular Season Round 2: Seoul Thunders - Anyang 81-82

A very close game took place in Seoul between Anyang and Seoul Thunders. Anyang got a very close victory on the road over Seoul Thunders. Anyang managed to escape with a 1-point win 82-81 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Anyang made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. The former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-1987) notched 23 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-1986, college: GMU) supported him with 7 points and 8 rebounds. Even 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by the former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-1987) did not help to save the game for Seoul Thunders. The former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-1989) added 14 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Four Seoul Thunders players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Anyang will meet KCC Egis in the next round where they are favorite. Seoul Thunders will play against KoGas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
