Regular Season Round 42: KT Sonicboom - LG Sakers 88-85

Seventh-ranked LG Sakers (22-28) gave a tough game to second ranked KT Sonicboom (32-15) in Busan. KT Sonicboom managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of LG Sakers. Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass, agency: BeoBasket) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and the former international guard Hoon Heo (181-1995) supported him with 13 points and 7 assists. Five KT Sonicboom players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds by Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) did not help to save the game for LG Sakers. The former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) added 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. LG Sakers' coach Sung-won Cho rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KT Sonicboom have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 32-15 record having seven points less than leader SK Knights. LG Sakers at the other side keep the seventh place with 28 games lost. KT Sonicboom will play against KoGas (#6) in Inchon in the next round. LG Sakers will have a break next round.
