Regular Season Round 40: KoGas - LG Sakers 81-77

Rather predictable result in Inchon where sixth ranked KoGas (22-24) beat 8th ranked LG Sakers (20-27) 81-77 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Nakhyeon Kim (180-1995) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists and Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) who added 15 points during the contest. At the losing side Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) scored 15 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. KoGas have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Loser LG Sakers keep the eighth position with 27 games lost. KoGas will meet bottom-ranked Samsung Th. (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. LG Sakers will play against Mobis Phoebus and hope to secure a win.
