Regular Season Round 34: KoGas - SK Knights 61-83

KBL top team - SK Knights (31-8) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked KoGas (17-23) in Inchon 83-61. SK Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to KoGas' 26. They outrebounded KoGas 50-23 including a 40-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Joon-Young Choi (200-94) chipped in 14 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four SK Knights players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and the former international Hyunwoo Jeon (191-96) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SK Knights have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 31-8 record. KoGas at the other side keep the eighth place with 23 games lost. SK Knights will play against league's second-placed Mobis Phoebus in Ulsan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KoGas will play on the road against Samsung Th. (#10) in Seoul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
