Regular Season Round 27: Mobis Phoebus - KT Sonicboom 79-76

The most exciting game of round 27 in the KBL took place in Ulsan. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best KT Sonicboom (21-12) to third ranked Mobis Phoebus (20-14) 79-76 on Sunday evening. Mobis Phoebus dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to KT Sonicboom's 40. The best player for the winners was American point guard Rashon Thomas (183, college: TAMUK) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Hyun-Min Lee (177-83) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists. Five Mobis Phoebus players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-97) who recorded 30 points and 5 rebounds and Jiwon Park (193-98) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mobis Phoebus have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 20-14 record having four points less than leader SK Knights. KT Sonicboom lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the second position with 12 games lost. Mobis Phoebus are looking forward to face DB Promy (#6) in Wonju in the next round. KT Sonicboom will have a break next round.
