Regular Season Round 16: Mobis Phoebus - Anyang KGC 87-57

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Mobis Phoebus' (10-11) home victory over 5th ranked Anyang KGC (10-8) 87-57 on Saturday. Mobis Phoebus dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Anyang KGC's 36 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Anyang KGC 42-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Mobis Phoebus looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Anyang KGC's players. American Earl Clark (208-88, college: Louisville, agency: BeoBasket) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. The former international power forward Ji-Hoon Ham (198-84) chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Mobis Phoebus players scored in double figures. American Omari Spellman (207-97, college: Villanova) produced 15 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: GMU) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Mobis Phoebus went down to sixth position due to points difference. Anyang KGC lost third consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost. Mobis Phoebus will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Anyang KGC will play against the league's second-placed SK Knights (#2) in Seoul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
