Regular Season Round 14: KoGas - SK Knights 73-75

The most exciting game of round 14 in the KBL took place in Inchon. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 6th ranked KoGas (8-9) to second ranked SK Knights (11-6) 75-73 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was the former international Joon-Young Choi (200-94) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) chipped in 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Cliff Alexander (203-95, college: Kansas) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 23 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Dae-Heon Lee (198-92) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SK Knights maintains second position with 11-6 record having just one point less than leader KT Sonicboom. KoGas at the other side keep the sixth place with nine games lost. They share the position with KCC Egis. SK Knights will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KoGas will play on the road against KCC Egis (#7) in Jeonju and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
