Regular Season Round 8: KoGas - Mobis Phoebus 70-79

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Inchon where 8th ranked KoGas (5-6) were defeated by ninth ranked Mobis Phoebus (4-6) 79-70 on Monday. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Rashon Thomas (183, college: TAMUK) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 6 rebounds and Myeong-jin Seo who added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Nakhyeon Kim (180-95) scored 17 points and 8 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mobis Phoebus have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Samsung Th. Loser KoGas dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Mobis Phoebus will meet at home Samsung Th. (#8) in the next round. KoGas will play against DB Promy in Wonju and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
