Regular Season Round 26: LG Sakers - SK Knights 87-90

A very interesting game took place in Changwon. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 9th ranked LG Sakers (10-18) to eighth ranked SK Knights (13-16) 90-87 in the game for the eighth place. SK Knights players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Woo-Sub Yaung (185-85) contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-89) replied with 20 points and 9 assists and American power forward Leon Williams (203-86, college: Ohio) added 9 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for LG Sakers. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains eighth position with 13-16 record. LG Sakers at the other side keep the ninth place with 18 games lost. SK Knights' next round opponent will be higher ranked Goyang Orions (#3) in Daegu and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. LG Sakers will play at home against Mobis Phoebus (#4) and hope to win that game.
