Regular Season Round 7: Ohod - Al Ansar 107-71
Date: October 17, 2022
Not a big story in a game in Medina where 11th ranked Al Ansar (1-6) was rolled over by fourth ranked Ohod (5-2) 107-71 on Monday. Ohod dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Al Ansar's 40. They outrebounded Al Ansar 51-30 including a 39-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Jordan Washington (203-1993, college: Iona, agency: Interperformances) fired a double-double by scoring 46 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import point guard James Justice (178-1989, college: UT Southern) chipped in 24 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Ohod's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Mustafa Ibrahim produced 23 points and Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (206-1990, college: Millersville) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Ohod moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Fateh. Al Ansar lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with six games lost. They share it with Al-Taawon. Ohod will meet at home Al Adalh (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Al Ansar will play against Al Ittihad and hope to win that game.
