Regular Season Round 15: Al Ansar - Al Fateh 69-81

The biggest surprise of round 15 was guest Al Fateh's (8-7) road victory over Al Ansar (#7) 81-69 on Friday evening. They outrebounded Al Ansar 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Algerian forward Mohamed Harat (198-90) who had a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. The former international point guard Mohammed Al-Saqer (179-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Armenian center Todd OBrien (211-89, college: UAB) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and forward Ayman Belal added 9 points respectively. Four Al Ansar players scored in double figures. Al Fateh moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al Wehda. Al Ansar at the other side keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Al Fateh is looking forward to face league's leader Al Hilal in Riyadh in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Al Ansar will play on the road against Duba Club (#11) in Tabuk and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
