Bottom-ranked Abha is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to tenth ranked Al Nahda (2-8) 101-76 on Friday evening. Al Nahda dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Abha's 22. They outrebounded Abha 44-29 including a 35-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Nahda looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Abha's players. Marwan Karkoura notched 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American center Malik Wineglass (203-93, college: Harris-Stowe St.) supported him with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Five Al Nahda players scored in double figures. Al Nahda's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 8 points and 10 assists by guard Mohaned Shabin did not help to save the game for Abha. Abdullah Almuwallad added 10 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Al Nahda maintains tenth position with 2-8 record. Newly promoted Abha still closes the standings with ten games lost. Al Nahda will meet higher ranked Al Wehda (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Abha will play against Al Ittihad (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
