The best player for the winners was American-Armenian center Todd OBrien (211-89, college: UAB) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Libyan point guard Mohameed Elsadi (190-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Al Ansar's coach Issam Abdel Hamid felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Tavares Sledge (203-92, college: USC Aiken, agency: PBAplayers Agency) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and Rayan Alrefae added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Al Ansar will meet at home Al Wehda in the next round. Abha will play against Al Hilal in Riyadh and hope to win that game.
