Regular Season Round 13: Al Sadd - Al Gharafa 96-98

The most exciting game of round 13 in the QBL took place in Doha. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th rankedAl Sadd (5-9) to fifth ranked Al Gharafa (8-6) 98-96 on Tuesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Al Sadd. American guard Patrick McGlynn (188-1992, college: URI) stepped up and scored 39 points (!!!) and 5 assists for the winners and the former international forward Nedim Muslic (196-1998) chipped in 24 points and 14 rebounds. Four Al Gharafa players scored in double figures. At the losing side Nigerian-American guard Kelechi Ajukwa (201-1995, college: Charlotte) responded with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and American Darryl Owens scored 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Al Gharafa moved-up to fourth place. Al Sadd at the other side keeps the seventh position with nine games lost.
