Regular Season Round 10: Al Rayyan - Al Khor 94-51

Very expected game in Doha where 9th ranked Al Khor (1-9) was crushed by third ranked Al Rayyan (6-3) 94-51 on Saturday. Al Rayyan outrebounded Al Khor 48-23 including a 35-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Senegalese power forward Mouhammad Faye (207-1985, college: SMU) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. The former international point guard Abdulla Mousa (184-2008) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Five Al Rayyan players scored in double figures. American swingman Jerald Gillens-Butler (196-1997, college: Elon) produced 22 points and 7 rebounds and Egyptian center Omar Salem (205-1983) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains third position with 6-3 record having just three points less than leader Al Ahli D. Al Khor lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with nine games lost. Al Rayyan's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Doha to the arena Al Gharafa.
