No shocking result in a game when second ranked Al Sadd (9-2) beat 5th ranked Al Gharafa (5-7) in Doha 84-75 on Saturday. Al Sadd looked well-organized offensively handing out 49 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Al Sadd made 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American-German forward Waverly Austin (211-1991, college: Oregon, agency: Diamond Sports) who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 31 points, 22 rebounds, 22 assists and 8 blocks. International forward Babacar Dieng (197-1997) accounted for 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. American power forward CJ Aiken (206-1990, college: St.Joseph's, agency: BIG) came up with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists and the other American import guard Kenny Brown (188-1991, college: Ferris St., agency: SLN) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Al Gharafa in the defeat.
