The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Al Shamal in Doha on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by Al Rayyan 80-64. Al Rayyan looked well-organized offensively handing out 41 assists. Forward Hamad Mousa (194-2006) had a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Tanguy Ngombo (197-1984) chipped in 24 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Al Rayyan's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Sindou Diallo (190, college: Montana Tech) responded with 29 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and Canadian forward Emanual Shepherd (203-1995, college: Southern) produced a triple-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
