Regular Season Round 34: Al Wakrah - Al Ahli 89-82

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Al Wakrah. First ranked Al Wakrah faced 4th ranked Al Ahli. Host Al Wakrah (12-4) defeated guests from Doha (9-5) 89-82. Al Wakrah players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Abdelrahman Abdelhaleem (205-1996) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. American swingman Brandon Spearman (191-1991, college: Hawaii) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Spearman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Antwaine Wiggins (203-1988, college: Charleston, agency: BIG) replied with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals and international forward Ndoye Seydou (205-1999) added 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Al Ahli. Five Al Wakrah and four Al Ahli players scored in double figures. Al Wakrah maintains first position with 12-4 record. Al Ahli at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
