Rather expected game in Doha where 7th ranked Al Khor (3-4) was crushed by fourth ranked Al Ahli (5-2) 104-54 on Sunday. Al Ahli dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Al Khor's 18. Al Ahli forced 24 Al Khor turnovers and outrebounded them 47-23 including a 37-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Al Khor's players. American forward Antwaine Wiggins (203-88, college: Charleston, agency: BIG) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winners. International forward Ndoye Seydou (205-99) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Five Al Ahli players scored in double figures. Al Ahli's coach Panagiotis Foteinakis felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Jeff Newberry (188-92, college: OK State) produced 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Ahmed Albohari added 18 points respectively for lost side.
