Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Doha: Al Gharafa (#6) and Al Arabi (#5). Al Gharafa (4-3) won against visiting Al Arabi (3-4) 82-73. Al Gharafa made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American center Tyler Harris (208-93, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. His fellow American import guard Aaron Mitchell (188-89, college: Longwood) helped adding 19 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Harris is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American forward Nick West (210-94, college: AAMU) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Sammy Monroe (198-85, college: Newberry) scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Al Arabi players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Al Arabi at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
