Finals Game 5: TNT Tropang - SM Beermen 82-96

Beermen dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to TNT Tropang 's 32 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded TNT Tropang 49-34 including 16 on the offensive glass. Forward John Rodney Brondial (196-1990) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 15 rebounds. Center June Mar Fajardo (210-1989) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Calvin-John Oftana (195-1996) answered with 20 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Australian guard Jordan Heading (188-1996, college: CBU) added 13 points in the effort for TNT Tropang. Five Beermen and four TNT Tropang players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
