Beermen dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Kings' 40. They outrebounded Kings 47-34 including a 23-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Beermen looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Center June Mar Fajardo (210-1989) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. Guard Chris Ross (185-1985, college: Marshall) chipped in 19 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Guard Scottie Thompson (188-1993) produced 16 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Jamie Malonzo (198-1996) added 22 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
