Hotshots (7-1) recorded its first loss in Manila on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by eighth ranked Rain or Shine (3-5) 113-110 . It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Hotshots. Strangely Hotshots outrebounded Rain or Shine 44-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. 29 personal fouls committed by Hotshots helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-1991, college: Akron) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Naturalized American forward Keith Datu (201-1996, college: Chico St.) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Tyler Bey (201-1998, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Andy Barroca (176-1988) added 20 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Rain or Shine have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 3-5 record. Hotshots at the other side still keep top position with one game lost.
