Regular Season Round 13: NLEX RW - Ginebra Kings 115-103

Rather predictable result in Makati City where second ranked NLEX RW (8-3) defeated 6th ranked Ginebra Kings (5-5) 115-103. American swingman KJ McDaniels (198-1993, college: Clemson) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Kevin Alas (183-1991) accounted for 18 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Justin Brownlee (197-1988, college: St.John's) came up with a triple-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 11 assists and guard Scottie Thompson (188-1993) added 14 points, 17 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for Ginebra Kings in the defeat. Five NLEX RW and four Ginebra Kings players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. NLEX RW have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 8-3 record having just two point less than leader Hotshots. Ginebra Kings at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. NLEX RW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ginebra Kings' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Manila Rain or Shine.
