Regular Season Round 7: Blackwater Elite - Terrafirma Dyip 103-109

There was no surprise in Caloocan City where bottom-ranked Blackwater Elite (0-6) was defeated by tenth ranked Terrafirma Dyip (2-4) 109-103 on Saturday. Terrafirma Dyip made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Antonio Hester (199-90, college: Mobile, AL) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Swedish forward Philip Cahilig (191-91) helped adding 17 points and 10 rebounds. Hester is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American forward Shawn Glover (201-90, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and Rey Suerte (192-94) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Terrafirma Dyip moved-up to ninth place, which they share with TNT Ka Tropa. Loser Blackwater Elite still closes the standings with six games lost. Terrafirma Dyip's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Makati City to the arena .
