Very important is a home loss of second ranked Ginebra Kings (3-1) against top-ranked Hotshots (3-0) on Saturday night. Host Ginebra Kings were crushed by Hotshots in Manila 117-94. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ginebra Kings. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Hotshots players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and guard Paul Lee (185-89) supported him with 20 points. Even a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds by American forward Justin Brownlee (197-88, college: St.John's) did not help to save the game for Ginebra Kings. Center Japeth Aguilar (206-87, college: WKU) added 14 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hotshots have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Ginebra Kings at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. They share it with Phoenix.
