Regular Season Round 4: SM Beermen - Blackwater Elite 107-88

Rather predictable result in Manila where SM Beermen (2-2) smashed Blackwater Elite (0-4) 107-88. SM Beermen players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American Brandon Brown (201-85, college: CSUSB) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Guard Jaymar Perez (188-93) accounted for 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Brown is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four SM Beermen players scored in double figures. American forward Jaylen Bond (203-93, college: Temple) came up with 9 points and 17 rebounds and forward Paul Desiderio (185-97) added 16 points respectively for Blackwater Elite in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SM Beermen will again play against Blackwater Elite (#11) in Caloocan City in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Blackwater Elite will have a break next round.
