Regular Season Round 4: Blackwater Elite - TNT Ka Tropa 76-96

Bottom-ranked Blackwater Elite (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 96-76 loss to top-ranked TNT Ka Tropa (4-0) in Caloocan City on Wednesday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. TNT Ka Tropa made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Blackwater Elite turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American guard Michael Williams (188-91, college: CS Fullerton) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and Roger Ray Pogoy (189-92) who added 13 points and 4 assists during the contest. Center Kelly Nabong (201-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Carl Bryan Cruz (193-91) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. TNT Ka Tropa have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Blackwater Elite still closes the standings with five games lost. TNT Ka Tropa will meet at home league's leader Meralco Bolts in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Blackwater Elite will play against Hotshots (#3) in Pasig City and hopes to get finally their first victory.
