There was a minor upset when 6th rankedBkennaya (4-8) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Damour (4-10) 62-50 on Saturday. Damour held Bkennaya to an opponent 24.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Bkennaya 42-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. Claritta Fakhry fired 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international Nathalie Sevadjian (170-1988) chipped in 7 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Damour's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pia Khattar produced 26 points and 7 rebounds and center Sandra Beddawi (168-1992, agency: BIG) added 15 points and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Damour maintains eighth place with 4-10 record. Bkennaya lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost.
