Regular Season Round 6: Beirut FC - Almtayleb 84-63

Very expected game when 8th ranked Almtayleb (1-5) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Beirut FC (3-1) 84-63. Beirut FC players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Almtayleb's players. American Chyna Cornwell (190-2001, college: Rutgers) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and 26 rebounds to lead the effort and Dean Kahlajah supported her with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists. Even 26 points and 7 rebounds by American Aliyah Matharu (170-2001, college: Baylor) did not help to save the game for Almtayleb. Nour Chahine added 9 points and 12 rebounds. Newly promoted Beirut FC maintains fourth position with 3-1 record. Almtayleb at the other side keeps the eighth place with five games lost. Beirut FC will play against league's leader Al Riyadi in Beirut in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Almtayleb will play against Damour (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
