Regular Season Round 15: Hoops - Club Beirut 50-71

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Beirut:Club Beirut (#1) and Hoops (#5). Hoops were crushed at home by 21 points 50-71 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Hoops. They outrebounded Hoops 47-22 including a 21-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for the former international forward Aida Bakhos (178-1986, college: Lamar) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. Jocelyne Geara helped adding 17 points. Four Club Beirut players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Maryam Jomaa with 13 points and 4 assists and Stephany Nohra scored 8 points. Hoops' coach Ziad Al Natour gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Club Beirut (17-0) have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 17 victories in a row. Hoops at the other side keep the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Antranik.
