Regular Season Round 11: Anibal - Byblos 79-64

Anibal has finally registered their first victory this season after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Byblos (1-9) 79-64 on Sunday. Anibal forced 22 Byblos turnovers. It was a great evening for Rami Abou Tanos who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Tarek Mitri helped adding 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Anibal players scored in double figures. Anibal's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Georges Souaid responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and forward William Sawan (201-98) scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Anibal (1-8) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Homentmen. It was Byblos' sixth loss in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Anibal is looking forward to face Homentmen (#10) in Beirut in the next round. Byblos will have a break next round.
