The game with biggest result difference took place in Beirut. Local Homentmen (1-6) was outscored by second ranked Al Riyadi (5-1) 123-72 on Wednesday night. Al Riyadi dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Homentmen's 44 and made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Homentmen 45-26 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Riyadi looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Homentmen's players. International guard Ali Mansour (185-98, agency: BIG) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners and international guard Karim Zeinoun (188-99, agency: BIG) chipped in 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Karl Zaloum with 22 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Omar El Baba scored 15 points. Homentmen's coach already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Al Riyadi. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Homentmen lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth place with six games lost. Al Riyadi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Beirut to the arena Sagesse.
