The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Amman: Orthodox (#1) and Al Ahli (#2). Orthodox (6-0) smashed visiting Al Ahli (3-3) by 21 points 95-74. Orthodox looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Darrin Dorsey (188-1987, college: DWU, agency: Diamond Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists. The former international center Mohammad Hussein (210-1990) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Orthodox players scored in double figures. Orthodox's coach Harry Savaya felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-1994, college: Mars Hill) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Gerard Tarin (206-1996, college: Nova SE) added 24 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Al Ahli. Orthodox have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Defending champion Al Ahli keeps the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Al Riyadi.
