The former international guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-1994, college: Mars Hill) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 4 assists. The former international point guard Mahmoud Abdeen (191-1987) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists for the winners. Abuhawwas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Al Ahli players scored in double figures. Guyanese-American forward Kevin Mickle (201-1993, college: Ohio) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks and point guard Mitri Bosheh (180-1996) added 11 points and 6 assists in the effort for Al Jubaiha. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al Ahli's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Amman Orthodox.
