Regular Season Round 6: Orthodox - Al Jubaiha 102-83

There was no surprise in Amman where 5th ranked Al Jubaiha (1-5) was crushed by third ranked Orthodox (5-1) 102-83. Orthodox players were unselfish on offense dishing 40 assists comparing to just 24 passes made by Al Jubaiha's players. It was a good game for Senegalese forward Ibrahima Thomas (213-87, college: Cincinnati, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. International guard Amin Abuhawwas (190-94, college: Mars Hill) contributed with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Abuhawwas is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American power forward Gregoryshon Magee (211-90, college: USA) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and the former international swingman Nader Suleiman (187-92) added 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Al Jubaiha. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Orthodox have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Ahli and Al Wihdat. Al Jubaiha lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with five games lost. Orthodox's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Amman to the arena Al Wihdat.
