There was a small surprise in Aichi where seventh rankedAishin AW (9-19) beat 4th ranked Sunshine R. (16-12) 71-61 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Canadian forward Niyah Becker (188-2000, college: Wake Forest) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-1991) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. Four Aishin AW players scored in double figures. Nigerian-American power forward Oderah Chidom (193-1995, college: Duke) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and Yuki Hirashita (175-2003) added 9 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aishin AW maintains seventh position with 9-19 record. Loser Sunshine R. dropped to the third place with 12 games lost.
