LeaderToyota A. delivered the fifteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Haneda V. (1-17) 80-73 in Nagoya. The former international point guard Mai Yamamoto (163-1999) stepped up and scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Amaka Okonkwo chipped in 11 points and 16 rebounds. Four Toyota A. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American center Channon Fluker (193-1997, college: CSUN) with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds and Saori Yoshida scored 6 points and 10 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyota A. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 15-3 record. Haneda V. lost sixteenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 17 lost games.
