Finals Game 5: Fujitsu RW - Denso I. 75-60

Fujitsu defended their WJBL title. They held off Denso Iris in the decisive fifth game of the Finals to repeat as champions. The game was mostly controlled by Fujitsu RW. Denso I. managed to win third quarter23-20 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fujitsu RW made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Fujitsu RW outrebounded Denso I. 49-28 including a 25-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. Point guard Riho Akagi (167-1998) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Rui Machida (162-1993) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international power forward Evelyn Mawuli (180-1995) responded with 16 points and the former international point guard Mai Kawai (171-1996) scored 15 points.
