Regular Season Round 27: Okayama - Toyoda 106-93

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Okayama where 15th rankedScorpions (7-18) were defeated by sixteenth ranked Try Hoop (8-19) 106-93 on Saturday. Okayama shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for New Zealand forward Taane Samuel (200-1999) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points. Forward Yusuke Mukai (194-1981) helped adding 21 points. The best for the losing side was Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-1991, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Ren Takemura (170-1995) scored 12 points and 9 assists. Four Toyoda players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Try Hoop . Okayama moved-up to fifteenth place. Toyoda lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the sixteenth position with 18 games lost.
