Very expected game when 13th rankedScorpions (7-15) lost to sixth ranked Broncos (14-8) in Saitama 101-116 on Saturday. Saitama dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Scorpions 's 52. Saitama outrebounded Toyoda 34-22 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) nailed 28 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) accounted for 23 points and 10 rebounds. Broncos' coach Shugaku Izumi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guamanian-American guard Earnest Ross (198-1991, college: Missouri, agency: Haylett Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American Daniel Laster (199-1996, college: Gardner-Webb) added 19 points respectively for Toyoda in the defeat. Five Saitama and four Toyoda players scored in double figures. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Broncos . Saitama maintains sixth place with 14-8 record, which they share with Yokohama. Toyoda lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 15 games lost.
