Regular Season Round 20: Shinagawa - Saitama 79-85

Date: December 10, 2023
There was no surprise when 15th ranked Shinagawa (6-14) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Broncos (12-8) 85-79 on Sunday. Saitama looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American center Will Creekmore (205-1989, college: Missouri St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Jordan Faison (201-1994, college: CPP) who added 11 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. American center Hayden Koval (216-1997, college: Cincinnati, agency: Diamond Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and point guard Ito Ryota (177-1992) scored 11 points and 9 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Broncos have a solid three-game winning streak. Saitama moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Yokohama. Shinagawa lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Shanan Utd and Veertien Mie. Saitama will meet at home Toyoda (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Shinagawa will play against Tokyo Utd and hope to secure a win.
